THREE-CORRUGATION PROFILE

A taller panel profile for the specified system.

Thrie-Beam guardrails use a three-wave steel panel, posts, blockouts and fasteners as one installed system. This page illustrates the square hollow post arrangement. Panel model, post spacing, foundation, connection and end treatment must be selected together from approved project documents.

Reference: GB/T 31439.2—2025 supplied in the guardrail knowledge base. The assembled system determines performance.

How the guardrail system works

Thrie-Beam: vehicle contact, three-wave rail deflection and redirection with square posts

CONTACT / LOAD TRANSFER / REDIRECTION

How force passes through the system

On contact, the three-wave beam and its connections transfer load toward the posts and foundation. The approved complete system may deform and help guide the vehicle along the barrier.

Concept diagram only; it is not a crash-test result or a stated containment level. Check the tested system and installation conditions for project performance.

THRIE-BEAM / SQUARE POST / BLOCKOUT

See how the main parts connect.

The three-wave panel overlaps at a bolted splice. A matching blockout separates the beam from each square steel post, with project-specified post fasteners and caps.

  1. Confirm the selected P-RTB panel model, hole pattern and post layout.
  2. Set square hollow posts to the approved spacing and foundation detail.
  3. Install the specified square-post blockouts and align the three-wave panels.
  4. Complete splice and post connections; check end treatment against the project drawing.

PST square post is listed as 130 × 130 × 6 mm in the supplied standard. Exact BF-series blockout type, bolts, holes and installation sequence require the approved drawing.

Thrie-Beam models & specifications

All nine RTB panel entries in GB/T 31439.2—2025 are listed separately below. P-RTB is our display code for the corresponding RTB standard model. The first five entries suit square posts; the remaining four suit steel pipe or H-section posts. Dimensions are millimetres; confirm the exact drawing before quotation.
